Non-Filers and the Economic Stimulus

There are many reasons why certain people don’t file a tax return. That is normally not a problem if you don’t have a filing obligation, but it is a problem when it comes to receiving your Economic Stimulus payment provided in the CARES Act. In response, the IRS has created an online portal for non-filers (and filers with outdated direct deposit information on their tax returns) to update their records with the IRS.
